Back in the early 2000's, Vinnie had started selling national brand name mattresses online and shipping them all across the country.

 

After a few years, he decided it was time to design and market his own brand of luxury beds. To do this, he needed a name that sounded luxurious and had the ".com" available.

 

In 2003, on a weekend trip to the new Borgata casino in Atlantic City, the name Bragada was born. Vinnie was impressed with the casino and loved the name, so he changed some letters around to come up with his new brand, Bragada.

 

From 2004 until 2009, he was the largest online mattress retailer in the country. In 2009, Vinnie retired and sold Bragada to the factory who had been making his product.

 

Then, in 2014, his friend (and now business partner) showed him a distressed multi-family property in Newburgh, NY.

 

They decided to buy the property and start a real estate investment company, on a whim. But they needed a name. Since the company who had purchased Bragada ran it into the ground and went out of business, the name was ready to be used again. And that's the story behind the name, Bragada.
